Ka-runch! I got a little bit distracted while driving late to school today, and I ran my car against the sidewalk. I ripped a hole in my front right tire, and I had to get out and change it. Lucky for me the spare tire wasn't flat (as I'd feared). Not a good experience at all.

On top of that, I won't be giving the class I was supposed to give. Life sucks so much, sometimes.

The past that continues to haunt me. Gawd, people are starting to believe that i'm still in love with my old ex-gf (the one "happily" married and who now has a daughter, thank you very much), and my usual response to that is:

Apparently, when people ask me about my past relationships, I should not name her name because that's absolute, positive proof that I still love her; otherwise I wouldn't even remember her name.

Right. A 3 and a half years long relationship can be easily forgotten, just like that. Suuuuuure. And I'm hoarding weapons of mass destruction in my closet, too. But I wont delve in this subject, otherwise people will go around saying that I still love her, when it's the complete opposite of what I feel.

"All you need is love, love... love is all you need". St. Valentine's coming up. And I'm having a bit of an emotional crisis here. I'm having a good opportunity to start a new relationship, but this girl has many (but not all) of the things I'm looking for in a girlfriend. We started as friends but things have been escalating pretty fast recently, which has me a little bit scared, yet excited too. More news to come later; stay tuned.

The surly bonds of Earth

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds -- and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of -- wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew.
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

In Memoriam Columbia. The space shuttle Columbia disintegrated this morning upon re-entering the atmosphere, right over Texas. 7 astronauts, 6 of them from the United States (one of which was originally from India), and the seventh coming from Israel.

Farewell, brave adventurers. You will not be forgotten.
